Integrity Athletics FAQ

My child and I are new to gymnastics, what level do I join?

If your child is aged 2 – 6 Years old, they will join the appropriate classes according to their age. If your child is 7 years old or older and brand new to gymnastics, they will join a Level 1 gymnastics class.

My child and I are new to Martial Arts, what do I need to know?

Integrity Martial Arts consists of 2 different disciplines, Ju Jistu and Tae Kwon Do. Our qualified instructors have a background in their discipline and have led many athletes to competitions. Our programming is age based, so you will sign up for the appropriate class for your child. We have multiple options for enrollments, ranging from 1-3 days per week. For the first class, wear athletic clothing. Your instructors will provide you with information regarding the uniform, sizing and how to order. As a beginner, your child will start at the lowest belt color, and work their way up in our classes to test up.

How do I know what level my child is?

Almost all children ages 7 and above will begin at level 1 if they are new to gymnastics. Children 5 & 6  must go into a ‘Little’ Class and children 4 and below are placed by age. If your child has previous experience, please call us at 614-733-0818 so we can identify the best class for your child.

Do you offer placement evaluations?

At this time, we do not offer placement evaluations. Children aged 5 and under are placed according to their age, while most children above the age of 6 typically begin in an introductory-level class, Level 1. If a student is ready for the next level, they can be transferred with the coach’s permission.

For new families who believe their child should be enrolled in Level 2 or higher, please contact our front desk or email ashley@integritygym.com to discuss their current abilities (Gymnastics skills) and determine the appropriate level.

If you are interested in joining the competitive team please contact the competitive team program director: Lindsay Parks (lindsay@integritygym.com)

How do I know when my child is ready to move to the next level?

Please check the “evaluations” button on the family portal site. From there you can check your child’s skill progress. When they are ready to move up each event will be passed in the system and the overall level will read “Passed”. You can always talk with your child’s instructor briefly after class, they will have insight into your child’s progress. Evaluations are fully updated in January, April, July, and October, however, periodic updates are done throughout the classes and instructors will inform parents if an athlete is ready to move up.

What does my child wear to class?

Any athletic t-shirt and shorts are acceptable. Some athletes prefer to wear a leotard which can be purchased in the pro shop by the front desk. If you are in a trampoline class (TNT), students must bring socks to class. Attire must cover midriffs and shorts should not have buttons or zippers. No crop tops or sports bras without a top will be allowed.

At what age can I start my child in gymnastics?

Your child can start classes at 6 months.  Our Rollie Pollies class is all about movement and exploring.  Instructional gymnastics classes begin when your child is a strong walker.

Do I have to participate in the preschool classes?

If your child is under 3 and is not potty trained then yes, you have to participate in the class.  Once your child is 3 and potty trained you can watch from our viewing area.

If my child misses a class can I schedule a make-up class?

Every child is allowed 1 make-up class per month and MUST be scheduled within 60 days of the missed class. Make-ups are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. Please see make-up policy for all restrictions.

Can I reserve a spot in a class in advance?

If space is available in the class, all enrollments begin immediately once requested. If you wish to start at a later date we can enroll you on the waiting list with a future start date (up to 3 months). This does not guarantee you a spot on your future start date unless there is an opening in the class at that time. Otherwise, you will remain on the waitlist until space is available.

Do you have open enrollment?

Yes!  We can enroll your child at any time as long as there is availability in the class in which you wish to enroll. All enrollments are transferable pending class availability. If your desired class is full, you may enroll on the waitlist.

When do you offer gymnastics classes?

We offer classes in the morning, afternoon and evenings 7 days a week. Enrollment in classes is subject to class availability. Please view classes on the parent portal for accurate, up-to-date availability

Can my child attend more than one class a week?

Yes! When a student enrolls in multiples classes there is a 25% discount on the price of the additional class.

What’s the Difference Between Rec & Team?

Recreational Gymnastics: Our recreational program is tailored for those who want to experience the joy of gymnastics without the commitment of competitive training. Participants in our recreational classes engage in skill-building, fitness, and fun, all while developing fundamental gymnastics abilities. This program is perfect for building confidence, improving physical well-being, and enjoying the sport at their own pace.

Competitive Gymnastics (Team): If your child is driven to take their gymnastics journey to the next level, our competitive program provides an in-depth and structured training environment. Athletes in the competitive track work intensively to refine their skills, compete in various levels of gymnastics meets, and strive for excellence in their chosen discipline. This path demands dedication, hard work, and a passion for pursuing gymnastics at a higher level. This program is offered in girl’s gymnastics, boy’s gymnastics, trampoline & tumbling, and rhythmic gymnastics

Whether you’re looking for a recreational experience or aspiring to compete, our facility offers the ideal platform to nurture each individual’s goals.
